Most injury recovery programs follow the same flawed script: rest, get weaker, then maybe, years later, get stronger.

I rejected that script entirely.

The system treats your body like a machine that needs to be shut down for repairs. But what if that assumption is wrong, and it's the reason your recovery has stalled?

The Turning Point

During a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu throw, I fell and landed hard on my shoulder. Electricity shot from my neck through my entire body. What followed wasn't a single injury. It was a cascade.

The scans showed nothing broken, but I knew my spine had shifted. Neck pain first, then upper back. My hands started going numb. Then hip pain emerged. Lower back followed. My body had shifted in a fundamental way, and like dominoes, each compensatory pattern triggered the next. The system was collapsing, one region at a time.

I did what everyone does: I trusted the professionals. Chiropractors. Acupuncturists. Massage therapists. Physical therapy. Orthopedic specialists. Each promised results. Each followed their standard protocols. None delivered lasting change.

The treatments weren't wrong, they just weren't right for me. The protocols were generic. The approach was reactive. The goal was always the same: reduce pain by reducing activity. Get weaker, then hopefully get stronger later.

But I didn’t want to get weaker. I wasn’t willing to lose what I’d built.

The Art of Seeing

Before I found movement, I studied art. When traditional therapy failed, I had something most people don't: I could see what others missed.

I spent years learning to see, not just look, but truly observe. How to analyze the human figure. How to recognize subtle shifts in alignment and weight distribution. How to be obsessively precise.

I dropped out before finishing. But the training never left me.

I could recognize patterns in movement that compound into dysfunction. I understood precision not just as a concept, but as a practiced skill.

So I became my own experiment.

I became obsessive about understanding movement systems. Not just reading biomechanics research, but testing every theory in practice, on myself first, then on clients. I needed to know not just what worked, but why it worked.

The System

The body doesn't need rest to heal, it needs precise stress. Not random exercise. Not generic protocols. But carefully calibrated movement.

I spent years testing every approach I could find. Not theoretically, practically. On myself. With real pain. Real limitations. Real consequences if I got it wrong.

Most approaches failed immediately. Some showed promise but couldn't sustain. A few worked, but I couldn't explain why.

Then patterns emerged. Not from textbooks or certifications (though I pursued those too, eleven in total, from Personal Training to Exercise Therapy). The patterns came from observation. From relentless testing. From refusing to accept "good enough."

The body can get stronger while fixing itself. But only if you understand which biomechanical elements need rebalancing.

Today

Today, I specialize in corrective exercise for people dealing with spinal disc challenges.
Herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, and chronic pain that traditional treatment hasn’t resolved.

While complex spinal issues are my primary focus, the same biomechanical rebalancing principles restore function across shoulders, hips, knees, and full-body movement patterns. I work globally via Zoom (a practice I perfected during the pandemic) because visual screening and real-time correction transcend physical location.
